Wybelenna Glass Fencing

Another project Absolut Custom Glass completed for the Thallon Mole Group is One Wybelenna. The original home constructed by the Thallon Mole Group is now homme to an exclusive day spa in the leafy suburbs of Brisbane.

The swimming pool fence was a length of momentous proportions and the client had opted for the anodised aluminium spigots that would support the extra-large panels of 12mm thick toughened glass. Whilst the theme of the architect designed house was rooted in modern architecture of the sixties, the addition of glass balustrade and pool fence created a blend of modernism from different decades.

Absolut Custom Glass Systems were given the task of supplying and installing modern custom made glass panels which would minimise the number of visible joins between panels and this proved to be a successful combination with the architecture. There were some very large panels required for the balustrade which were to be pin-fixed and this means there is no room for error when designing the glass panels. Each pin must align perfectly with the specially designed holes in the glass or it would have to be re-manufactured.

Although the original purpose for this property may have been for a residence we are pleased to announce that it works just as well as a commercial day spa. The elegance of the glass balustrades and pool fencing easily translates into a luxurious spay atmosphere where guest know they are in a five-star property.
