Q1 Penthouse Pool Fence – A Glass Fencing Record on the Gold Coast
Did you know that the Q1 pool fence in the penthouse is a true Pool Fencing Record? When it comes to frameless glass pool fencing on the Gold Coast, most people imagine a few small panels around a backyard pool. But not anymore! Absolut Custom Glass Systems were proud to be involved in the creation of the Q1 Penthouse Pool on the 74th floor of this iconic Gold Coast building. This frameless glass pool fence is now the highest residential pool fence in Australia.
Luxury and Style in the Sky
Being the penthouse, luxury was essential. The frameless glass pool fence provided uninterrupted views, allowing the pool to blend seamlessly with the rest of the penthouse for a true five-star feel.
Materials and Fittings
- Toughened clear glass – perfectly matched the elegance of the penthouse.
- Marine-grade stainless steel fittings – standard across all our installations.
- Hydraulic soft-close hinges – a premium option ensuring longevity and whisper-quiet self-closing. While laws require all pool gates to be self-closing, these hinges offer an extra touch of class compared to spring-loaded versions.
Overcoming the Challenges
The most difficult part of this project wasn’t the technical installation—it was keeping the team focused! With such breathtaking views stretching across the Gold Coast beaches and ocean, distractions were inevitable. Thankfully, with great cooperation from the penthouse management and owner services team, access to the 74th level via the trade elevator was smooth, and the project was completed by lunchtime with minimal disruption.
From Elite Homes to Everyday Families
This job was more than just another installation—it was a statement. A decade ago, custom frameless glass pool fencing was typically reserved for luxury penthouses and high-end homes. Today, it’s become far more affordable, allowing everyday Gold Coast families to enjoy the same five-star look and prestige once exclusive to the elite.
Why Choose Frameless Glass Pool Fencing?
- Uninterrupted views – perfect for enjoying your pool and outdoor areas.
- Safety compliant – meets all Australian pool fencing regulations.
- Modern aesthetics – adds instant sophistication to any home.
- Durability – toughened glass and marine-grade fittings withstand coastal conditions.
